WHY 6?
HEXA, which stands for the number 6, is the number for the
optimal monocoque carbon wheel. For spokes with 5 or
less spokes, the spacing between spokes widens and
additional reinforcement is added to preserve the original
shape of the rim, making the rim relatively heavier, which
increases the rotational inertia resistance of the wheel and
reduces acceleration. More than 7 spokes provide greater
rigidity, but the overall weight increases significantly due to
the increase in spokes. So, we decided that the optimal
number of spokes for a monocoque road wheel was 6, and
produced a hexa wheel made of 6 monocoque carbon
spokes.

FULL FLAT DESIGN
Unlike regular spoke wheels, the HEXA is a full carbon
monocoque wheel. When viewed from the front, the
maximum width of the wheel excluding the hub does not
exceed the maximum width of the rim, making it a full-flat
design like a TT wheel, thereby reducing the area where air
resistance can occur.
 
SURPASS RIM PROFILE
HEXA's rim profile does not require reinforcement of the
nipple bed for spokes, so the rim side surface is connected
in a curve as much as possible to the trailing edge of the
rim, showing aerodynamic performance that exceeds
general specifications such as a 50mm profile even in
headwinds or crosswinds.

DIAMOND SHAPE SPOKE
The rim and six full-carbon spokes made from a
monocoque have a diamond-shaped cross-section for
structural strength and aerodynamic performance. The
diamond spoke shape reduces the angle in the direction in
which the wheel rotates as much as possible to reduce air
resistance due to rotation, while increasing the spoke area
as much as possible for structural strength and stability.

EMBEDED CERAMIC SYNCHRO
The newly developed embedded ceramic synchro hub uses
ceramic bearings that provide superior rolling performance
at high speeds and the ratchet of Aviab's clutch system that
delivers instant torque at any moment, allowing you to enjoy
an even better riding experience.

TORAY T800/T700 CARBON
AVIIAV HEXA is manufactured using genuine Toray
carbon. Based on T800, a top-quality carbon with light
weight and excellent elasticity, we were able to create a
wheel that satisfies both weight and price by using carbon
optimized for each part.
